On Monday, March 5, 2012 from 6:45 to 8 pm there will be a an Interfaith Evening of Prayer to Abolish State Killings hosted by Archbishop Gregory Aymond at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. The Evening Prayer features Shades of Praise, The New Orleans Interracial Gospel Choir. Speakers include Sr Helen Prejean, Calvin Duncan, who was wrongfully convicted and spent 28 and ½ years in prison, and Tom Lowenstein, whose father was a victim of homicide. All are welcome to join this historic event to call for an end to capital punishment in Louisiana through prayer and fellowship. Full details of the evening are available here.
