Take Action to #ProtectOurCare: Call LA Senators Today!

<p><u><strong>Right now,</strong></u><span> Congressional Republicans are discussing a repeal of the Affordable Care Act without an adequate replacement. If they move forward they will be jeopardizing coverge for hundreds of thousands of Louisianans and putting our state's financial future on shaky ground. </span><u><strong>We simply CANNOT afford a repeal of the ACA without knowing what will replace it.</strong></u></p>
<p>Please take a minute to call Senator Bill Cassidy and Senator John Kennedy <strong><u>today</u></strong> to tell them why affordable health insurance is important to your and our state, and <u><strong>urge them not to repeal the ACA without an immediate replacement.</strong></u><br />

<p>More than <strong>370,000 low-income Louisianans</strong> recently gained access to affordable health care after the Governor expanded Medicaid this year.</p>

<p><strong>Repealing the ACA would be a <u>disaster</u> for Louisiana's already dire budget situation.</strong></p>

<p>The state stands to lose <strong>$26.7 billion</strong> in federal funding over the next 10 years with ACA repeal, not to mention rising costs of uncompensated care for the uninsured. </p>

<p>We would lose an estimated <strong>37,000 health care jobs </strong>in our state and <strong>$39.1 billion</strong> in business output with repeal of Medicaid expansion alone.</p>
